College Fairs Summer 2016
Colleges That Change Lives (CTCL) is dedicated to the advancement and support of a student-centered college search process. CTCL works to dispel publicly held myths about college choice particularly the notion that college choices are severely limited to todays high school students and to educate families about the importance of matching an individual students needs with the mission and identity of the college itself.
Since 1998, CTCL has offered a national series of information sessions and college fairs for students, parents, and college counselors. These sessions begin with an enlightening 30-minute presentation on todays college search process and are followed immediately by a college fair that lasts for approximately 1.5 hours. Students and families are able to collect information from and speak directly with admission representatives from the colleges and universities that inspired the book Colleges That Change Lives.
In addition, CTCL offers individual speakers who are available to work with and give presentations to college counselors, outreach agencies, and high school students. Presentations may be scheduled throughout the year. A list of upcoming presentations can be found in the left column list, and a complete list of presentations offered in the 2014-15 school year may be found here.
