Thank you to everyone who read the blog last week! As a reminder, or for anyone just joining us, I’ll be sharing college-related updates with you each Friday while we ride out the waves and impacts of coronavirus. These will include tour and admission information, how schools are staying connected, and news from the home front (me!). If there’s anything specific that you’d like to see featured here, don’t hesitate to reach out and I’ll do my best.
NEWS AND UPDATES
StriveScan’s Virtual College Fair – Registration Available for Admissions Information Sessions
Students can now register for Virtual Admissions Information Sessions, which will be available from Monday, April 27 through Friday, May 8. These 45-minute presentations will allow students to learn about individual colleges and universities, connect with students, and have their questions answered in real time.
Students should register separately for each panel they want to attend. Once they register, they will receive a confirmation email with their unique link to join the Zoom webinar. When students register, they are sharing their registration information only with colleges presenting on that particular panel.

Pets: Our New Co-Workers During the Coronavirus Pandemic
Over the past five weeks, employees from all walks of life have been getting accustomed to working at home as they shelter in place during the coronavirus pandemic. Instead of the usual office mates, many people now have their pets to keep them company. This week, we thought we would take the opportunity to share with you the pets of some of the professors, students, and administrators from some of the colleges around the country. THE HOME FRONT
Here in South Florida, I continue to be thankful that we are able to take walks around our neighborhood lake enjoying the turtles, our resident ducks, and the many species of water birds that visit us daily. I’m finding cooking to be very cathartic and my kids and I continue to try new recipes – some are great and others – not so much!
