Wow, what a season it has been for Custom College Visits! We have been keeping ourselves quite busy, planning and organizing the most exciting college tours for our clients.

This spring, we had the privilege of working with families from all over the globe, from the far corners of South Africa and Alaska to the bustling cities and suburbs of the East Coast. Each client brought a unique perspective and set of needs to their college tour experience, and we relished the challenge of crafting personalized itineraries that met their every expectation.

One particular itinerary stands out in my mind, not because of its length or complexity, but because of the unforeseen challenges that arose during the trip. When one of our clients fell ill and needed to cut her trip short, my travel partner Kirsten and I knew that we had to act quickly to ensure that the rest of their tour went as smoothly as possible.I worked together with the client to revise their itinerary and figured out where and when we needed to reschedule travel arrangements. While Kirsten tackled the logistical challenges of rescheduling flights, hotel reservations and car service, I then focused on rescheduling some of the campus tours; if guided tours were no longer available, I provided the family with self-guided tour maps, audio links, and other resources to make their remaining visits as engaging and informative as possible.

Thanks to our quick thinking and teamwork, the family was able to visit several more colleges before heading home early. We were so glad to be able to provide the support they needed during a stressful and uncertain time.

When we talk to prospective clients about the benefits of working with Custom College Visits, we emphasize the importance of our personalized planning and organization. But we also make sure to let them know that we are available 24/7 to handle any unexpected challenges that may arise during their trip—something they may not think about. It’s just one more way that we strive to provide our clients with the best possible college tour experience.
